PURPOSE:To produce in high activity a stereoregular polymer having improved characteristics such as impact strength, elongation, etc., by using a blend obtained by combining solid TiCl3 complex catalyst with a trialkyl aluminum as a catalyst. CONSTITUTION:3-Methylbutene-1 is polymerized alone or copolymerized with another olefin by using both a solid TiCl3 complex catalyst [e.g., compound shown by the formula (R<1> is 1-20C hydrocarbon; X is halogen; 0<=n<=2; X is halogen; 0<=n<=2; C is complexing agent; x<=0.15; y>=0.001), etc.] having Al content of <=0.15 calculated as an atomic ratio of Al to Ti, containing a complexing agent (e.g., ether, thioether, etc.) and a trialkylaluminum shown by the formula AlR3 (R is 1-12C alkyl) as an organoaluminum cocatalyst. In a ratio of the each component of the catalyst used, a molar ratio of TiCl3 in the Solid TiCl3 complex catalyst to the organo aluminum cocatalyst is preferably 1:0.2-20.
