PURPOSE:To provide a rubber compsn. which has good adhesion to brass and hardly causes lowering in adhesion even when used under humid conditions over a long period of time, by blending a mercaptotriazine compd. and sulfur with a mixture of raw rubber and a block copolymer. CONSTITUTION:A rubber compsn. is obtd. by blending 0.5-5pts.wt. 6-R-2,4- dimercapto-1,3,5-triazine and 0.2-5pts.wt. sulfur with 100pts.wt. mixture of 50-95pts.wt. raw rubber composed of natural and/or synthetic rubbers and 50-5pts.wt. acrylonitrile/chlorinated ethylene block copolymer. The compsn. has good adhesion to brass, can be directly bonded without using any rubber cement, prevents brass from being corroded and can improve the durability of composite materials. The compsn. can be used as a bonded composite material of rubber and brass in the fields of hose, shape, conveyor belt, tire, etc. |
