PURPOSE:To obtain the titled fiber having high yarn strength, dyeable easily under normal pressure and giving a dyed fiber having excellent fastness to light, by using respective specific copolyesters as the core component and the sheath component and setting the core ratio within a specific range. CONSTITUTION:A polyester copolymerized with 1.0-1.8mol% compound of formula [M is alkali metal such as Na, Li, K, etc.; R and R' are alkyl or -(CH2) nOH; n is integer of >=2) (S-component) and with 5-20mol% dicarboxylic acid component (A-component) is used as the core component, and a polyester copolymerized with 2.1-6.5mol% S-component, 5-20mol% A-component or 1.0-15wt% glycol component is used as the sheath component. The core ratio is set to >=0.8S1(0.5S2-1)/{[1+2A1</41>exp(-S1<2>)]S2-0.8S1} and <=(S2-1.9)/(S2-S1) wherein S1 and S2 are the mol% of the copolymerized S-component in the core component and the sheath component, respectively, and A1 is mol% of copolymerized A-component in the core component.
