PURPOSE:To provide an electronic printer simplified in the input of a fixed form sentence, by reading prodetermined character information by an optical or magnetical method to input the same and making it possible to print said character information. CONSTITUTION:When a usual sentence is printed, a key is pressed to generate a key code which is, in turn, inputted to CPU12 and converted to a ASCII code on the basis of the processing program of ROM 13 and a wheel number and printing pressure information are read from ROM 13. In the case of a fixed form sentence, the ASCII code of the fixed form sentence is read from a booklet 7 by using an input pen 5 and stored in the memory area of RAM14 through an interface 15. CPU12 reads the code information stored in RAM14 to perform the same processing as the case of usual input by a key input part 2. The wheel number and printing pressure information are transmitted to W-CPU18 and information is temporarily stored in an internal buffer. W-CPU18 reads the information and, when the direction and quantity of the rotation of a wheel are determined, a wheel driving motor 19 is driven to move the wheel and a hammer driving part 20 is driven to perform printing.
