The invention relates to an assembly which allows a two-wheeled vehicle equipped with tracks for moving over snow to obtain a speed and steering which are identical to those on dry ground. This equipment comprises, at the front, a device making it possible to bite into the snow by successive and staggered edge grippings during changes of direction and at the rear, either driving with different speeds of the two tracks placed on either side of the wheel for wide vehicles (pisting of the ski run) or driving with the same linear speed of the rear wheel and the tracks for rapid-displacement vehicles. <IMAGE>
