PURPOSE:To make a uniform developing process and to obtain a silver halide photographic sensitive material having a high trigger effect by preparing a halide emulsion of silver halide particles having substantially no surface sensitivity and having internal fogging and prescribed surface latent image type silver iodobromide particles. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide emulsion material is formed of the silver halide emulsion which is formed by using a control double jet method, has excellent monodispersability, has substantially no surface sensitivity and has internal fogging and the surface latent image type silver iodobromide particles in which at least 20mol% silver iodide is made to exist locally. The surface latent image type silver iodobromide particles consist of silver bromide or silver iodide monodisperse particles as the seed crystal. Said seed crystal is coated with silver iodobromide contg. >=20mol% silver iodide and the coating is further coated with silver bromide or silver iodobromide. The silver iodide is made to exist locally at >=20mol% in the particles without being uniformly distributed over the entire part of the particles, by which the trigger effect is improved and the uneven process in the developing state is decreased. |
