PURPOSE:To take up a supplied material into a uniform roll form by introducing the supplied material into a narrow gap surrounded by a plurality of endless belts to wind the end of the material spirally. CONSTITUTION:A narrow gap is formed which is surrounded by first and second endless belt devices 3, 4 and an auxiliary belt device 5 and defined by a belt group moving counterclockwise. A heat transmission material 2 supplied by a feed roller 8 and the first endless belt device 3 is introduced into the gap to form an initial spiral. And as the diameter of the spiral becomes large, a movable support roller 33 of the first endless belt device 3 is moved right and a gap between movable support rollers 41, 42 of the second endless belt device 4 is expanded while said rollers are moved respectively right and slantly upward to form a concave arcuate portion along the spiral the diameter of which is enlarged between support rollers 32, 33 of the first endless belt device 3 and support rollers 41, 42 of the second endless belt device 4. |
