PURPOSE:To improve the accelerating property of the captioned device by computing the vehicle acceleration at every speed step on the basis of the various kinds of inspected data from a power system and the vehicle and the property data previously memorized and thereby selecting the speed step in which the maximum acceleration is ensured. CONSTITUTION:Signals are supplied from an opening detector 12 of a throttle 7, an engine speed detector 13, a revolution detector 14 of a torque convertor 8, a weight detector 16 and a gradient detector 17 or the like so as to be input to a control device 8. Further, a speed step in which the maximum acceleration is ensured, is selected by the data in relation to a vehicle and the data previously memorized, for example, gear ratio and engine property or the like. Therefore, it is possible to usually ensured the maximum acceleration state, even if the running condition is made to be changed.
