In a drawer extension as single extension, in which the drawer is mounted in a sliding manner on a rail to be attached to a furniture unit, the drawer (2) has side walls (4a, 4b; 5a, 5b) of dual-walled construction which are perpendicular to the base (3) of the drawer. One wall limb lies on a rail (8, 9) projecting into the hollow space (6, 7) of the dual wall (4, 5) by means of an offset surface (4d, 5d) forming the sliding guide.
