<p>PURPOSE:To detect precisely the validity of the engaging state of connectors by arranging a magnet in a male tool connected to the end part of an optical fiber and a reed switch in a female tool connected to the other end part of the optical fiber in case of optical communication. CONSTITUTION:A magnet 11 is arranged on the intermediate position of optical guides 51, 52 built in an optical fiber connector 2. On the other hand,a reed switch 10 is arranged on the intermediate position of two fiber leading ports 61, 62 built in a connector housing 3 so as to be opposed to the magnet 11. The validity of the engaging state of the connectors is detected by the magnet 11 and the reed switch 10. Thus, a microcomputer 9 built in a communication equipment 4 is driven to decide and display the validity of start of communication.</p> |
