PURPOSE:To obtain an antistatic agent of less metal corrosiveness containing a specific quaternary ammonium salt as a component. CONSTITUTION:An antistatic agent is obtained by adding 0.005-2wt% a quaternary ammonium salt of the formula [where R1 is a C8-C22 alkyl or alkenyl group, R2 is a C1-C3 alkyl group, R3 is hydroxyethyl or hydroxypropyl group, R4 is R2 or R3, Y is ethylene or propylene group, m is 0 or 1, and X<-> is anion of a C2-C6 hydroxycarboxylic acid (e.g., anion of hydroxyacetic acid, glycolic acid, etc.)] to water, an alcohol, or an organic solvent or the like, to which is added a surfactant, etc., as needed. |
