PURPOSE:To attain magnetic recording and reproducing small in track dislocation with a correcting mechanism by rewriting the contents of a detecting device each time a recording medium is inserted, and always outputting the optimum correcting signal from the detecting device. CONSTITUTION:Magnetic recording media 1 is positioned at a spindle 6 provided at a motor 2 by a clamp 5 and rotated. A head 4 is for the recording and reproducing, a track 17 is read which is synchronized and eccentric to an index signal 13, further, an aeolotropic component 19 is added and the signal of a synthetic waveform 20 is obtained. A detecting device 10, based upon the signal of the synthetic waveform 20, sends the correcting information synchronized to the index signal 13 to a correcting control circuit 11. Then, the correcting control circuit 11 sends the signal of the correcting and driving to a correcting mechanism 14, smoothens the piezoelectric element shown at a feeding base 26 and a stator yoke 28 of a motor 2 is displaced in the direction separated from the base 26. Thus, the rotation central shaft of a spindle 21 of the motor is changed and even to the eccentric and recorded media, the stable output can be obtained.
