PURPOSE:To remove the trouble of telephone communication due to the rearrangement of desks for telephone sets or the change of personal sections by forming a table corresponding to extension Nos. consisting of physical Nos. and logical Nos. inherent in respective extension telephones. CONSTITUTION:Receiving an extension telephone set No. from extension telephones 2-1-2-n through an extension receiving unit 15 or extension circuits 5-1-5-n, a processor 14 discriminates whether the received No. is a physical No. or a logical number. When the received No. is the logical No., the physical No. corresponding to the logical No. is recognized by referring the table 8 corresponding to the extension Nos. and a digital channel device 9 is controlled to connect a telephone circuit based upon the physical number. When the physical No. of the extension telephone is changed because of personal changes, the contents of the table corresponding to the extension Nos. are rewritten and registered. Even if positions are changed, a telephone circuit corresponding to a new position can be connected always by using the logical number.
