PURPOSE:To obtain perfectly spherical granules of a vinyl chloride paste resin, by adding a paraffinic hydrocarbon or a cycloparaffin to an aq. dispersion of a vinyl chloride paste resin and conducting stirring. CONSTITUTION:In a method for obtaining granules of a vinyl chloride paste resin by adding an org. liquid which is insoluble in water and does not dissolve the vinyl chloride paste resin to an aq. dispersion of the vinyl chloride paste resin by a liquid phase granulation method. a paraffinic hydrocarbon or a cycloparaffinic hydrocarbon is used as the liquid and the amount of the liquid to be added is 35-45pts.vol. per 100pts.wt. vinyl chloride paste resin. The resulting spherical granules are separated and dried to remove the org. liquid and the remaining water. The resulting granules of the vinyl chloride paste resin have good flow characteristics and contain no fine particles so that they are easy to handle as powder.
