PURPOSE:To permit optical communication between respective branches as well by successively increasing the area of circular groove holes to be provided on slopes in the stage of serially connecting optical branching devices obtd. by joining the 1st light conductor and 2nd light conductor which have a circular cylindrical shape via the slopes and joining the rectangular 3rd light conductor thereto so as to face the slopes. CONSTITUTION:The slopes inclined at 45 deg. are formed to the ends of the 1st light conductor 1 and 2nd light conductor 2 which have the circular cylindrical shape. The light conductors 1 and 2 are connected to each other with the slopes as a boundady. The circular groove hole 2a having a prescribed area is provided to the slope of the light conductor 2 having such constitution and the 3rd light conductor 3 intersecting orthogonally with the light conductor 1 and 2 is joined thereto to face the slope including said hole so that the branched light is generated in the light conductor 3. These individual optical branching devices are thereafter connected in series to constitute an optical communicating device. The areas of the circular groove holes 2a to be provided to the individual optical branching devices are made successively wider from one toward the other. Optical branching is thus individually executed and the optical communication between the respective branches is made possible as well.
