PURPOSE:To reduce the number of parts and provide simplification and light weight in the structure by providing in series cross flow sections and counter flow sections and providing corrugated boards in the cross flow sections, the directions of the corrugated boards being mutually different, alternately among partition boards and at four corners of the partition board piercing specified connecting sections. CONSTITUTION:Rectaugular partition boards 3a and 3b each with a flange section are alternately piled up in a plurality of steps, and respective fauges 2 are mutually joined to form primary spaces 8a and secondary spaces 8b. Between the partition boards 3a and 3b a corrugated board 7a forming a primary flow passage and a corrugated board 7b forming a secondary flow passage are alternately arranged and fixed. Further, the partition boards have respectively cylindrical sections 9a and 9b projected. Those cylindrical projections fit in an opening 1 which is located right below the cylindrical projection to be joined together, so that primary spaces 8a are mutually connected and so are secondary spaces 8b. Primary fluid I passes through each of cylindrical section 9a and it is led to the primary space 8a of each step, and secondary fluid II passes through each of cylindrical sections 9b and it is led to the secondary space 8b of each step, and beat exchange occurs between the primary and secondary flow passages. With this constitution a cussing which covers the whole structure, distance plate, spacer, etc. are not required, making it possible to reduce the number of parts and provide a light weight heat exchanger.
