PURPOSE:To provide efficient transport/supply of cassettes by furnishing a cassette handling device capable of sending off cassettes up and down mutually at one side of the cassette standby part formed in two levels and by providing said standby part at the other side with possibility of connecting a truck having an upper and a lower cassette accommodation part. CONSTITUTION:Each truck 7 accommodating in its accommodation part 17 a plurality of upward facing cassettes 1 holding an unprocessed disk 2 is stopped in front of a supply part 5, and the cassettes 1 are supplied to a standby part 8 by a conveyor 18, and at the same time, each empty cassette 1 fed to a standby part 10 is carried by another conveyor 11 for accommodation in the accommodation part 19 of the truck 7. The foremost one of the cassettes 1 in the standby part 8 is sent off by a conveyor 9 to a rotary standup member 12, when a conveyor 14 is also actuated to transfer the cassette 1 onto the rotary member 12, and a cassette position control boss 1a is detained with a detent groove 15 in a rotary member support part 13. Then a cylinder is elongated to turn the rotary member 12 into the standup position, and the cassette 1 is positioned laterally while the disk 2 horizontal to allow the undermost disk 2 to be taken in the takein means of a processing device 4 to accomplish a quick transfer.
