PURPOSE:To improve the comfortableness of a living space during heating operation by a method wherein ventilating direction is distributed left-and-right horizontally or upwardly before a ventilating air temperature arrives at a predetermined value while he ventilating direction is changed to a fixed downward direction and a compressor is driven at low speed when the ventilating air temperature has arrived at the predetermined value. CONSTITUTION:When a blow-off air temperature detected by a thermistor 21 is lower than a first set temperature, a rotating number variable compressor 17 is driven at high speed, a central motor 3 is turned right, a left motor 9a is turned right, a right motor 9b is turned left and they are stopped. In this case, blow-off air is distributed horizontally and the compressor 17 is driven at the maximum capacity. When the blow-off air temperature detected by the thermistor 21 is higher than the set temperature, the central motor 3 is turned left, the left motor 9a is turned left, the right motor 9b is turned right and they are stopped. In this case, the blow-off air is concentrated downwardly and the capacity of the compressor 17 is reduced.
