PURPOSE:To very efficiently collect information by using two accumulative fluorescent boards, installing one of them to an image pickup position and applying stimulation and reading to the other fluorescent board at the read position while the one board is subjected to image pickup such as X-ray diffrac tion image. CONSTITUTION:A diffraction X-ray (d) is made incident on the accumulative fluorescent board 5 to form a latent image onto the incident part. As soon as the image pickup is being executed, a motor 18 drives a scanning mechanism turning continuously a drum in an optional direction so as to move the incident point (p) of a stimulated line (f) on the surface of the fluorescent board 5' in a direction at a right angle to the axial line of the drum repetitively. When a motor 29 drives a screw lever 25 simultaneously to move a base 23 at slow speed, a reflection mirror moves the incident point (p) at the slow speed in the direction of the axial line of the drum on the surface of the fluorescent board 5' through a drive mechanism moved in the axial direction of the drum 16 along the stimulated line (f) reflected in the reflection mirror 23. Thus, the latent image formed on the fluorescent board 5' is read by detecting the output of a photoelectric converter 21. |
