摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent an abrupt change of injection timing by controlling the current injection timing so that the injection timing is not returned to the spark lag side from the previous injection timing by a predetermined value or more in changing the injection timing from the spark delay condition to the spark advance side at the time of starting an engine. CONSTITUTION:If an engine 10 is judged to be at a start by an ECU 56 during its operation, the optimum injection timing Tst is calculated for the engine rotating speed NE detected by a rotation sensor 46. Next, whether Tst is the previously used injection timing command value Tsta-1 or more is judged, and if the judgment is Yes, Tst is used as the currently controlled injection timing Tsta as it is. On the other hand, if the judgment is No, Tsta-1, instead of Tst, is used as the current injection timing Tsta. Accordingly, injection timing is prevented from being returned to the spark lag side from the previous injection timing, thus the movement of engine rotation is smoothed at a start from initial explosion to consecutive explosion and upwash.
