PURPOSE:To obtain a low-hardness rubber abrasive which can be highly hardened, by hardening a rubber base material, abrasive grains,and a crosslinking agent comprising sulfur or a metal oxide by crosslinking to a specified D-scale Shore hardness. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. rubber base material (A) (e.g., a nitrile rubber) is mixed with abrasive grains (B) (e.g., alumina), 10pts.wt. or more crosslinking agent comprising sulfur or a metal oxide (C) (e.g., MgO) and, if necessary, carbon black, a white filler (e.g., clay), process oil, a low-molecular-weight a pigment, etc., and this mixture is hardened by crosslinking to a D-scale Shore hardness of 80 or less.
