PURPOSE:To provide the titled deodorant composed mainly of limonene, effective in keeping a room from intrusion of insects such as mosquito, fly, etc., and animals such as pigeon, dog, cat, etc., simply by exposing the agent in the room, completely harmless to man, free from ill odor and exhibiting excellent effect to eliminate ill odor. CONSTITUTION:Limonene of formula having low toxicity and absolutely free from ill odor is used as a main component of the titled agent. The compound exhibits repelling effect against various animals, e.g. insects such as mosquito, fly, bee, etc., birds such as pigeon, sparrow, etc., reptiles such as snake, gecko, etc. Limonene is used as it is, dissolved in a proper solvent, emulsified with water in the presence of a surfactant, solidified by proper gelation means using conventional gelation agent such as modified castor oil, crosslinked acrylic acid, modified polyethylene oxide, fine silica powder, etc., or emulsified in water at a high concentration to obtain a limonene emulsion having high viscosity. |
