PURPOSE:To prevent the poisoning of a catalyst, by burning the ash recovered by a dust collector in an auxiliary combustion furnace or removing a heavy metal component in an ash heating furnace on the way of recycling and returning the exhaust gas from said furnace to the air stream in the front side of the air heater of a boiler. CONSTITUTION:The combustion exhaust gas from a boiler 1 is denitrated by a denitration apparatus 2 to be introduced into an air heater 3 where the heat of the exhaust gas is recovered while the exhaust gas from the heater 3 is supplied to a dust collector 4 to remove dust in the gas. The collected ash is sent to an auxiliary combustion furnace 7 through a line 13 to be burnt along with fuel from a fuel supply pipe 11 and the generated ash is removed in an auxiliary dust collector 9 and the exhaust gas issued from the dust collector 9 is met with a main line to be further subjected to heat recovery in the air heater 3. Further, by providing an ash heating apparatus in place of the auxiliary combustion furnace 7, the separation of a heavy metal can also be performed. |
