PURPOSE:To obtain the titled resin of both high melting point and heat resistance, having such structure that triazine rings are linked in a linear manner through -NH- groups, also provided with unique electrically conductive characteristics, by polycondensation of a guanamine in such a process as to dissolve it in a solvent followed by heating. CONSTITUTION:A guanamine (e.g. benzoguanamine) is dissolved in a solvent (pref. N-methylpyrrolidone) followed by heating to perform polycondensation of said guanamine through ammonia elimination reaction, thus obtaining the objective resin having such atruxture that triazine rings are linked in a linear manner through -NH- groups. The above reaction is preferably carried out at 150-300 deg.C. for 3-30hr using a reaction promotor such as acetic acid for scavenging the ammonia produced in the reaction system.
