PURPOSE:To make the gripping remnant of the material to be stretched nil by advancing the gripper of a chucking device via the lever to be driven by the prescribed cylinder device in case the gripping remnant of the material to be stretched is caused. CONSTITUTION:A gripping lever 7 is supported freely rockably on a bearing shaft 6 and the lower end part thereof is engaged with the recess part 8 of each gripper 3. The cylinder device 9 which drives the lever 7 is arranged on the front part upper face of a blade pressure 4. In this way the material to be stretched is held by advancing the gripper 3 by advancing the pusher 4 in case of the stretching of the material to be stretched, but the gripper 3 is advanced by rocking the lever by working the cylinder device 9 for the stretching material which can not be held. The gripping remnant can therefore be made nil by holding the material to be stretched surely.
