PURPOSE:To improve extracting speed and stability and realize a practical extraction on an industrial scale by utilizing an organic extraction solvent medium of hydrocarbon; containing a surface-active agent B carrying an HLB value smaller than an HLB value of surface-active agent A used for forming an O/W type emulsified droplet. CONSTITUTION:A liquid of W phase liquid membrane consisting of a hydrocarbon mixture such as benzene, regular hexane, or the like, and a surface-active agent A such as water, glycerin, saponin or the like is agitated with a homogenizer to prepare an O/W type emulsified liquid having a dispersion phase of the hydrocarbon mixture. A surface-active agent B having an HLB value smaller than that of a surface-active agent A, for example, an extraction solvent medium phase of isooctane containing sorbitan monoraulate and the like and an O/W type emulsified liquid are contacted with each other in an agitating tank. After being contacted, the solvent medium phase and O/W emulsified droplet are phase-separated, and the solvent medium phase containing an objective hydrocarbon component such as benzene and the like is separated into an objective hydrocarbon component and a solvent medium in a solvent medium recovery device, the solvent medium being circulated into the agitating tank for reuse.
