PURPOSE:To obtain automatic application of a tape by providing a tape supply device including tape attitude holding means, an application device including tape gripping means and tape pressing means, and an operating device for moving and operating the application device. CONSTITUTION:A tape 1 in double plies of an adhesive tape 1a and a non- adhesive tape 1b is wound around a supply reel 2. A tape supply device A comprises tape attitude holding means composed of a tape supporting plate 7 and an air port 8. An application device B comprises tape gripping means composed of a stationary pawl 22 integrally formed with a frame 20, a moving pawl 23 connected to an air cylinder 24 and others, and tape pressing means composed of a swing arm 27, a pressure roller 29 and others. An operating device C for moving and operating the application device B is an articulated robot having respective degrees of freedom in turning 31, lower arm rotation 32, upper arm rotation 33, wrist swing 34 and wrist rotation 35. This structure enables automatic tape application.
