PURPOSE:To decrease a voltage between taps of a dense tap winding, increase the reliability of a tap changer, and make it easy to draw out a tap terminal, by arranging alternately twin coils wherein a rare-tap winding is constituted by a continuous disk winding and a dense-tap winding is constituted of a high series capacitance winding. CONSTITUTION:A rare-tap winding 4 is constituted by connecting twin coils of continuous winding, 41-44, in series between terminals A and B. A dense-tap winding 5 is constituted by connecting in series twin coils of high series capacitance winding, 51-54, in the same manner. Tap terminals T2-T9 are drawn out from connection points between respective twin coils and connection points in the twin coils which are called high series capacitance connection. The twin coils 51-54 constituting the dense-tap winding 5 are arranged alternately between the twin coils 41-44 constituting the rare-tap winding 4. In such a structure, the potential difference between the dense- tap windings 5 becomes small, for the capacitance between the two windings is large. Further, the series capacitance of the dense-tap winding 5 is large, so that potential oscillation in the dense-tap winding 5 is suppressed. Consequently, the potential difference of 1 or 2 tap-interval due to migration voltage from a high-voltage winding 3 is reduced.
