PURPOSE:To improve fastness to light of a dye image by incorporating >=1 specific cyan couplers and >=1 specific compd. into the titled material. CONSTITUTION:At least one of the cyan coupler expressed by formula I and at least one compd. expressed by formula II are incorporated into the titled material. In formula I, R1, R2 denotes a hydrogen atom, alkyl group, etc., R3 denotes a hydrogen atom, halogen atom, etc., X denotes a hydrogen atom or a substituent which can be eliminated by reaction with the oxidant of a color developing agent. I formula II, R4, R5 denote a hydrogen atom, alkyl group, etc., R6 denotes a substituent, R7, R8 denote an alkyl group, etc. The coupler is usually used in a silver halide emulsion layer, more particularly a red sensitive emulsion layer. The amt. of the coupler to be added is in a 2X10<-3>-8X10<-1>, more preferably 1X10<-2>-5X10<-1>mol range per mol of the silver halide. The compd. expressed by formula II is preferably used at 5-300mol%, more preferably 10-200mol% with respect to the coupler expressed by formula I. |
