PURPOSE:To continuously alter a resonance frequency by employing a variable capacitor as a high frequency magnetic field generator/detector used in a nuclear magnetic resonance apparatus. CONSTITUTION:A conductor plate 1 and a conductor ring 3 are the same as conventional ones, and a variable capacitor 2A is used instead of a conventional chip capacitor. An angle theta formed by a vertical band 1a is 70 deg.<theta<100 deg.. In thus constructed high frequency magnetic field generation detector, the resonance frequency of an equivalent series resonator is adjusted by the capacitor 2A. Thus, the projections of a pair of conductor plates of H shape are connected by the capacitor. The resonance frequency can be freely adjusted to respond to a magnetic field of wide range.
