<p>PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a tape traveling system by extracting an optional regulated frequency signal in a reproducing signal, and controlling the rotating speed of a drum whose frequency can keep a regulated level. CONSTITUTION:A tracking error signal is formed with a signal recorded on a tape 1, and an Automatic Track Finding (ATF) system by which a tracking is performed, is adopted. Prescribed frequencies are given on ATF signals f1-f4, but, since a relative speed between a rotary head 2 and the tape 1 is dislocated by changing the traveling speed of the tape 1, the frequencies of the ATF signals f1-f4 are varied as a result. By detecting the frequencies of the ATF signals, and controlling the rotating speed of the drum against the dislocation of the relative speed between the rotary head 2 and the tape 1, the dislocation can be corrected. Therefore, it is possible to regulate the relative speed between the rotary head and the tape, and the signal can be read out exactly at the time of high speed tape traveling.</p> |
