PURPOSE:To obtain a resin compsn. which has good moldability and does not cause lowering in insulation resistance even when brought into contact with surfactants, by blending a vinyl chloride resin having a specified degree of polymn. with a lead compd., fired clay and a plasticizer. CONSTITUTION:A resin compsn. is obtd. by blending 100pts.wt. vinyl chloride resin having a degree of polymn. of 2,000-3,000 with 15-50pts.wt. lead compd., 5-50pts.wt. fired clay and 15-45pts.wt. plasticizer. Examples of the lead compd. are lead oxide, lead carbonate, tribasic lead sulfate, etc. Any of fired clay can be used irrespective of particle size, so long as it is porous and has an ability to adsorb ions. Any of plasticizers which are conventionally used for vinyl chloride resins can be used. If desired, the compsn. may contain a stabilizer, a filler, a lubricant, a flame retarder, a colorant, etc.
