PURPOSE:To reinput basic data without reprogramming even if a unit becomes faulty and stored data are lost by providing a transfer means which transfers the contents of an external storage means stored in arithmetic basic data to an internal storage means. CONSTITUTION:The arithmetic basic data or information on advertisement stored on an IC data is stored in a storage means 38 through the IC card reader writer 17 of the liquid amount arithmetic unit and part of the data or information is stored in the storage means 22 of a control unit 21 respectively; and the IC card is stored at another place. The control means 33 of the unit 5, on the other hand, calculates the amount of liquid through liquid level sensors 7 and 7' of an oil reservoir tank by using the data stored in the means 38 and the calculated value is stored in the means 38; when the calculated value is abnormal, it is displayed on a display device 14 and an alarm 18 is put in operation. If the unit 5 becomes faulty or if the basic data stored in the means 38 is lost during its repair, the IC card is only loaded on the reader writer 17 to transfer and input the stored data to the means 38 again.
