PURPOSE:To inexpensively manufacture a metallic mold having an intricate shape by forming a reversal shape mold by using a solid pattern, forming an electroforming mold from the reversal shape mold, plating a metallic film on the surface of the electroforming mold and forming a metallic shell. CONSTITUTION:The solid pattern 1 which is a reference for the shape of the metallic mold is installed on a mold stool 2 and the four sides thereof are enclosed by a flask 3. A pattern material 4 is adequately selected and poured into the flask 3 to form the reversal shape mold 5. A conductive paint is then coated on electrodes 7, 7' formed on the surface 6 of the mold 5 to form the conductive film; further an electroforming method is applied on the conductive film to obtain the thick electroforming mold 8. After the metallic mold surface side of the mold 8 is polished, a metal having the resistance to heat and corrosion is plated thereon to form a metallic film 9. The metallic mold consisting of the metallic shell 10 is thus manufactured. The metallic mold having the curved surface of the intricate shape is thus inexpensively and creatively generated without machining the surface thereof.
