Conduit sound damper with sound-absorbing walls, in which one or more conduit walls or wall parts can be changed in the sense of changing the conduit cross-section available for the gas flowing through. For this changing, the wall parts may be pivotably mounted by means of hinges on the sound damper housing and/or with respect to one another.
