Method for measuring the dampness of bulk materials in the flowing material stream

A method serves for measuring the moisture content of bulk materials in the flowing material stream. In order, in a simple way, to achieve a sufficiently accurate determination of the moisture content of a batch of bulk substances whose dampness varies through the quantity of the batch, the material stream, after dropping freely through a predetermined height, is deflected by an inclined baffle plate (1) and the dampness of the flowing bulk substances (3) is determined continuously or at predetermined equal intervals by means of a measuring sensor (4) located in or above the baffle plate (1).
