PURPOSE:To obtain good stability of a brake, by constituting a cylinder main unit of an air cylinder while the brake of an air brake. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder main unit 1 is constituted of an air cylinder, which uses pressure air serving as the pressure fluid, and a brake 7 is constituted of an air brake. In this way, since the upper limit of operating speeds of a piston 2 and a piston rod 4 and the maximum load of a driven member can be sufficiently large obtained further with brake force being easily adjusted corresponding to preset speed and load, a brake with a very small shock further with sure and good stability can be realized even for whatever preset speed and load the brake is used.
