PURPOSE:To always measure stably and exactly a flow rate in the piping even at the time of a variation of pressure, by providing a pressure pulsation preventing device into which a sintered metal piece has been inserted, on each of the leading pipings which are connected to a high pressure side detecting part and a low pressure side detecting part of a differential pressure type flow meter. CONSTITUTION:Vapor which has been generated from a nuclear reactor pressure vessel 1 is supplied to a turbine through a main vapor pipe 2. To an inlet side pressure detecting end 4 of a flow nozzle 3 of the pipe 2, a condensation tank 6 for forming a reference water head is connected through a leading piping 5 with an up-gradient, and to the lower end of this tank 6, a leading piping 7 is connected. To leading pipings 7, 12 which have been connected to high pressure side detecting parts 8a, 8b, respectively, of a flow meter 8, pressure pulsating preventing devices 30a, 30b for eliminating an influence of a pressure wave which has been generated in the pipes 7, 12 are connected. In this way, if a transient pressure variation is generated in the pressure in the pipe 2, the pressure wave corresponding to it is propagated in the pipes 7, 12, and in this case, the preventing devices 30a, 30b propagate the pressure wave generated in the pipes 7, 12, to each sintered metal 35. This metal is an aggregate of small holes, and in its outlet, a peak of the pressure wave is attenuated remarkably.
