The invention relates to a device for reinforcing fold up boxes intended for the packaging of various products. This principle enables collapsible boxes filled with merchandise to be stacked, without deformation, during storage and transportation operations and avoids tedious implementation, during each use, of the components of the reinforcing device. In order to do this, the collapsible box 3 is permanently equipped, in the acute angle of each of these vertical intersecting edges 4, with a vertical reinforcing support 2, the length of which is equal to the internal height of the box, and is provided, in addition to the vertical folds 4, with two folds 1 which are parallel to the previous ones and made from edge to edge on two non-contiguous faces 7 of the periphery of the box, each fold separating a face 7 into two asymmetric regions, the respective widths of which have a separation having a value at least greater than the width of a support 2 and, when the box is flat, making a concertinaed space of the thickness of the supports 2 fixed to the inside of the skirt. <IMAGE>
