In the flexographic printing machine according to the invention, the counterpressure rollers 2 guide a supporting band 6 which can be driven without slip and which travels at a constant initial tension by means of an adjusting device 8. Bearing rollers 10, whose faces in contact with the supporting band 6 are shifted laterally outwards, are provided between the counterpressure rollers 2. From the inking device on the infeed side to the inking device on the discharge side, the web to be printed is constantly in contact with the supporting band 6. The arrangement according to the invention of the supporting band 6 essentially eliminates any shifting of the web to be printed between the various inking devices 1, this shifting being detrimental to keeping to the lay marks. <IMAGE>
