A chef's hat for single use with a headband and a side wall extending upwards as well as an inner top part made of paper or non-woven fabric for individual self-fitting together, is characterised in that it is composed of two blanks (1 and 2) of different material quality, to be precise of a first blank (1) which forms in one piece the headband (3) and the side part (4) and of a second blank (2) which forms the top part (5), in that the two blanks (1, 2) are in each case rectangular and of the same length, with narrow sides (6 and 7, respectively), the edges of which are flush with one another, and are associated with each other in such a manner that the second blank (2) is arranged with a free longitudinal edge (9) bearing against the inside (14) of the side wall (4) at a parallel distance (A) beneath its upper longitudinal edge (8) and is connected to the inside (14) by a pasted seam (11) running over the length. <IMAGE>
