PURPOSE:To quickly clear up fault by providing a mechanism activating firmware and a mechanism specifying the action modes such as scan-in and scan-out. CONSTITUTION:Scan-in and scan-out actions from other devices (monitor circuits) are instructed to a microprocessor MPU through interruption. The mechanisms 3 and 2 activating firmware and the mechanisms 13 and 14 specifying the action modes such as scan-in and scan-out are provided. Scan-in and scan-out data in a general-purpose microprocessor MPU and its peripheral control circuits accesses any register, whereby a clock cannot stop. The general- purpose microprocessor and its peripheral circuits can be scanned in and out. Consequently the fault of a controller can be easily cleared up. |
