摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To enable division photometric operation on an image picking up screen where an object image is formed and to attain a TTL photometry with high accuracy by using a solid-state image pickup element picking up a still image of he object as a photodetecter for photometry and computing brightness measurement data on the object based on the level data of image signals obtained in optional areas in an image pickup area. CONSTITUTION:When photometry control operation is started, a stop set value (Fno) and an exposure time set value (Ssp) for light measurement control, i.e. shutter speed data are supplied to a diaphragm driving part 6 and a shutter driving part 6 to operate a diaphragm 3 and a shutter 4. A charge coupled element (CCD) driving part 7 drives a CCD imager 10 to perform image pickup operation for the photometry and the image pickup output is digitized to write image data, i.e. signal level data in a RAM 30. Then, the microcomputer of a system controller 20 reads the respective signal level data of image signals obtained in fine areas (a)-(e) in the image pickup area AR of the CCD imager 10 out of the RAM 30 to calculate photometry brightness data such as the total brightness level and contrast of the subject 1.</p>
