摘要 PURPOSE:To greatly lower a load applied to a belt, increase transmitting efficiency, and enable a high speed operation by distributing power introduced from an input end not only to a belt type continuously variable mechanism but also to a gear transmission system, and introducing to an output end. CONSTITUTION:The power from an input end 6 is distributed by a planetary gear type differential mechanism 8 and, in a low speed mode in which a low-speed clutch 9a is engaged, the low-speed passage a2 of a gear transmission system 5 and the low- speed passage a1 of a belt transmission system are confluent and the power is outputted from an output end 7. As the effective diameter of a low-speed shaft 11 side pulley 11 is gradually reduced under this condition, the rotating speed of an output shaft 24 is increased. And, when the rotating speed of the supporting shaft 17a of a low-speed gear 17 becomes equal to that of the boss part 8f of a ring gear 8c, the low-speed clutch 9a is disengaged while a high-speed clutch 9b is engaged, changing to a high- speed mode. And, since the high-speed passage b2 of the gear transmission system 5 and the high-speed passage b1 of the belt transmission system 4 become confluent and as the effective diameter of the pulley 1 is gradually increased, the rotatating speed of the output shaft 24 is further increased. Thereby, a belt load can be reduced.
