PURPOSE:To produce a medium for electrophoresis with high productivity by projecting flash light from a xenon flash lamp to an aq. soln. contg. an acrylamide monomer formed like a film and crosslinking agent to generate crosslinking polymn., thereby forming an aq. gel film. CONSTITUTION:The flash light from the xenon flash lamp light source is projected to the aq. soln. contg. the acrylamide monomer formed like the film and the crosslinking agent. The crosslinking polymn. is generated in the aq. liquid to form the aq. gel film. The light of high intensity can be applied to the gel forming liquid without increasing the quantity of the heat to be applied to the gel forming liquid too much by using the xenon flash lamp light source at the time of gelling the gel forming liquid in the above-mentioned manner. The moisture content in the resulted gel medium is, therefore, easily controllable and the high-performance medium for electrophoresis is produced with high productivity. |
