The drive hub shell for bicycle wheels is produced from a piece of tube with an even wall thickness. On the right hand end of the hub is formed a truncated internal conical section (2) produced by stamping depressions (2a) to form conical surface sections (2) round the hub. At the same time a cylindrical shoulder (3) is formed behind the conical section required for the internal assembly of the hub. At each end a bearing ring (4,5) is formed on the outer surface of the hub are formed channels (6,7) for mounting wheel spoke flanges.
