PURPOSE:To achieve high speed printing by preventing the bounding of a printing pin, by charging the printing pin or the electrode plate mounted to the movable part directly connecting said printing pin so as to have inverse polarity when the printing pin returns to a predetermined position. CONSTITUTION:An electrode plate 20 is fixed to the rear end part of a printing pin 12 and the other electrode plate 21 is arranged in a fixed state. When a pulse current I is made to flow to actuator wires 10, 11 in the direction shown by an arrow in such a state that an electric field is applied by a magnet 13, the wires 10, 11 are allowed to approach each other and voltages of the same polarity are applied to the electrode plates 20, 21 and, therefore, the printing pin 20 moves in the direction shown by an arrow to record an ink dot. When transfer is finished, the wires 10, 11 deform toward a stationary position and the printing pin 12 retracts. At this time, when voltage of inverse polarity is applied to the electrode plates 20, 21, the attraction force acts on the electrode plates 20, 21 and, therefore, the printing pin 12 immediately stops at an initial position without generating bounding to make it possible to perform high speed printing. |
