A device is used for mounting a plug socket (17) on the supporting rail (4) in a breastwork channel or ground channel (1), which device has two supporting columns (13), which are equipped to clip onto the supporting rail (4) and are provided with a toothed system, as well as a holding device for the plug socket (17) and the switch respectively. This holding device may be a [lacuna] for insertion of the switch, which is equipped with a mounting plate (15) which is known per se, or of the thus prepared plug socket, which has two openings (14b) which are used for the supporting columns (13) to pass through and are arranged in in each case one attachment (14a) which is fitted externally on the sleeve. This device allows the assortment of aids to be considerably reduced in comparison with the present situation, and the assembly time (installation time) can be shortened as well. <IMAGE>
