PURPOSE:To enhance heat resistance of an optical functional member, by providing on a base a recording layer comprising a crystalline aromatic vinylene sulfide polymer of a specified general formula and a coating polymer therefor. CONSTITUTION:A crystalline aromatic vinylene sulfide polymer having a group of formula I, wherein R1-R8 is hydrogen, a halogen or 1-12C alkyl, and each of m and n is an integer of 1-5, with the proviso that the structures of the phenyl groups and substituent groups thereon may be the same or different when m or n is at least 2, as a repeating unit and having a number average molecular weight of 800-500,000 and a coating polymer therefor are simultaneously vapor deposited to provide a mixed vapor-deposited film, thereby obtaining an optical functional member. The coating polymer is preferably a noncrystalline polymer having a refractive index approximate to that of the crystalline aromatic vinylene sulfide polymer. |
