PURPOSE:To obtain a feed additive composition for ruminants containing an active substance being effectively digested and absorbed in digestive organs in and after the fourth stomach, by coating a nucleating agent containing a salt of a basic amino acid and a carboxylate with a specific synthetic high polymer. CONSTITUTION:A basic amino acid such as lysine, arginine, histidine, etc., and an alkali metallic salt or an alkaline earth metallic salt of a carboxylic acid such as acetic acid, propionic acid, lactic acid, etc., are used as a nucleating agent to prepare a feed additive composition for ruminants in any shape, containing a physiologically active substance. then 100pts.wt. composition is coated with 10-200pts.wt. covering agent consisting of a synthetic high polymer such as a copolymer of 2-vinylpyridine and styrene, which is dissolved in water or swelled in an acidic range of pH <=5. |
